Poles top ski jump ranking in Oberstdorf

Poles Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki came respectively 1st and 3rd in the ski jumping World Cup competition in Oberstdorf, Germany. Second was Russian Yevegenyi Klimov, with Poles Piotr Żyła and Jakub Wolny 4th and 6th.

The Oberstdorf event brought Poland's team its highest result ever in a World Cup event.

PM Mateusz Morawiecki tweeted his congratulations to Stoch and Kubacki on Sunday evening.

"Huge congratulations to Kamil Stoch for his first victory this season, and to Dawid Kubacki for another place on the podium," the PM tweeted.

Polish ski jumpers have to date clocked 81 individual victories in the World Cup event. (PAP)
