Poland's Kubacki wins ski jumping gold at World Championships

Dawid Kubacki won gold at men's normal hill competition in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld, Austria, on Friday.

In an amazing move, Kubacki advanced from 27th position after the first jump to the top after his second jump.

Kamil Stoch, another Polish ski jumper, took the silver and was followed by Austria's Stefan Kraft.

Heavy snow and changing wind patterns made the Friday competition extremely demanding. (PAP)
