PLN 200 banknote with new security features put into circulation

The National Bank of Poland (NBP) on Friday put into circulation a banknote with the face value of 200 zloty with modernised security features.

Work is also under way on a banknote with the face value of PLN 500, the NBP reported, adding that it would not be put into circulation earlier than in 2017. It will carry the portrait of King John III Sobieski.

Banknotes with modified security features of lower denominations (PLN 10, 20, 50 and 100) have been put into circulation since April 2014.

All the banknotes currently in circulation will remain valid for an indefinite period of time. (PAP)
