Ursus tractor manufacturer plans to win new markets
Ursus, Poland's biggest tractor and agricultural machine producer, plans to rebuild its trade contacts and seek new customers, among others on the Scandinavian market.
The company also wants to improve its position on the eastern markets as well as in such countries as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Holland, Slovenia and Croatia.
Future plans foresee more sales to non-European countries. Last year Ursus signed a contract with Tanzania's National Service Corporation Sole on the sale of 2,400 tractors. Under the deal, which is worth USD 55 million, all tractors will be produced in Poland but they will be assembled by Tanzanians trained by Polish specialists.
Ursus has been on the African market since 2013 when it signed its first agreement with an Ethiopian company on the purchase of tractors, servicing equipment and spare parts.
The company also wants to enter the Algerian market, with a tractor assembly line being its first project in that country. (PAP)
