Poland marks All Saints’ Day

On November 1, Poland traditionally observes All Saints' Day, a Christian festival in honour of all the saints recognised by the Roman Catholic Church.

It precedes All Souls' Day, which commemorates those who passed away.

On both days, Poles remember the deceased and visit cemeteries, sometimes traveling long distances, to light candles and place flowers on the graves of their loved ones.

All Saints' Day is a bank holiday in Poland. (PAP)
