Pole to head NATO JWC

From July 20 Polish Brigadier General Andrzej Reudowicz will head NATO's Joint Warfare Centre (JWC) in Stavanger, Norway, Poland's Armed Forces General Command informed Wednesday.

Founded in 2003, the JWC oversees NATO's joint operational training and develops operational concepts and doctrines. The centre is subordinated to NATO's Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia.

Reudowicz, 54, has occupied a number of high military posts; from 2010 to 2011 he commanded the 8th Polish Military Contingent shift in Afghanistan. PAP)
