EC adopts recommendations for Poland regarding rule of law
The European Commission on Wednesday adopted recommendations for Poland regarding the rule of law, EC First Vice-President Frans Timmermans announced on Wednesday, adding that the EC expected Poland to implement them over the next three months.

The decision means the opening of the second stage of the procedure launched against Poland in January. According to the EC, there is still a threat to the rule of law in Poland.
"Despite the dialogue pursued with the Polish authorities since the beginning of the year, the Commission considers the main issues which threaten the rule of law in Poland have not been resolved," Timmermans told a news conference. (PAP) at/
