Poland's Swiatek reaches French Open semi-finals

Defending champion Iga Swiatek has advanced to her fourth straight semi-finals of the Roland Garros Grand Slam tournament in Paris, beating Ukraine's Elina Svitolina on Tuesday.

Tusk sets confidence vote for June 11

Currently ranked fifth by the World Tennis Association (WTA), Swiatek defeated Svitolina 6:1, 7:5 in the quarter-finals.

She will now face the WTA's number one player, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, on Friday.

Of their 12 matches to date, Swiatek has won 8 and lost 4.

Swiatek holds four French Open titles, including three consecutive wins (2020, 2022–2024). (PAP)
