No early parliamentary elections in spring - ruling party
The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) spokesperson, Beata Mazurek declared on Wednesday that there were absolutely no plans for early parliamentary elections in the spring of 2019.
Mazurek denied a report published by the Gazeta Wyborcza on Wednesday according to which the ruling party "was mulling over early parliamentary elections."
"Yet another article in Gazeta Wyborcza which has nothing in common with reality. There will be no early elections. (...) First, we have elections to the European Parliament, and later to Polish parliament. And next year's budget will be approved in January," she stressed.
"I am denying this information. Such texts are designed to heat up the atmosphere and make politicians and Poles feel unsafe," she underlined. (PAP)
