US State Dept greenlights military training deal with Poland
The US State Department has authorised a potential military sale to Poland, involving 'blanket order training' for Air Force, associated logistics and support for an estimated price tag of USD 200 million, the Pentagon has announced.
According to a Monday press release by the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) Poland has requested to buy "training aids and other related elements of logistics and program support" to supplement a previously completed order for personnel training and training equipment valued at USD 95 million.
The defence equipment was not specified, but the training is expected to involve the Air Force.
"The proposed sale will enhance Poland’s capability to meet current and future threats and increase its interoperability with the US and other NATO members and its allies through comprehensive US Air Force Training," the statement read. (PAP)
