The Polish minister of digital affairs has warned of the increased threat of Russian cyber attacks.

Krzysztof Gawkowski paid an unannounced visit to Kyiv on Monday. Together with his Ukrainian counterpart Mykhailo Fedorov, he announced that both countries will jointly fight Russian disinformation.

"We have agreed that the threats from Russia to Poland and Ukraine in the field of cybersecurity are very much the same," Gawkowski said.

"Poland is in a cyber cold war with Russia," he added.

The Polish and Ukrainian ministers signed a Digital Memorandum in support of mutual relations in cyber security and digital services.

The Ministry of Digital Affairs said earlier that Poland is now the world's largest provider of Internet technology in Ukraine. (PAP)
