Lawmakers from Poland's former ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, now in opposition, have announced that they have submitted a motion of no confidence against the environment minister to the Sejm, the lower house of parliament.

Waldemar Buda, a PiS MP, told a press conference in the Sejm on Friday that "the scale of incompetence and chaos in the area of climate and environment is unbelievable."

He argued that "basically, every decision and every move that comes from the Ministry of Climate and Environment involves some type of scandal."

"We are filing a no-confidence motion against Environment Minister Paulina Hennig-Kloska," Buda announced. (PAP)
